Biographical

Since 1991, Peter has served as an ADR neutral primarily involving IP (patent, trademark, trade secret), IT and other technology-related disputes encompassing a wide range of technologies and industries, e.g., aviation, electronics (hardware and software), energy, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications and infrastructure (including investment); and secondarily other commercial disputes. Also served, from 1979-2012, as an active IP practitioner concentrating in patent matters (primarily complex electronic, communications and computer-related and mechanical technologies) and trademark matters; and from 2010-2012 as General Counsel (virtual) for Direct Grid Technologies, LLC.  For further details, see his CV accessible on his website, www.plmadr.com.

Arbitrated international and domestic:

(1) intellectual property (IP) disputes (including disputes spanning a wide range of technologies; trademark, domain name and trade secret disputes);

(2) information technology (IT) disputes;

(3) technical and technology-related disputes across many industries and industrial sections, including, e.g. aviation, biotech, defense contracting, energy, general manufactuing, infrastructure (including investment), electronics (hardware and software), lighting,major appliances, medical devices, teelcommunications and phramaceuticals; and

(4) commercial disputes across a wide range of other substantive areas including, e.g., antitrust (merger), breach of contract, consumer credit, consumer fraud, consulting, joint ventures and partnerships, licensing (incuding university technology transfer), mergers and acquisitions, securities and financial, and telecomunications (including reciprocal compensation).

Collectively, I have arbitrated over 500 disputes with amounts in contention ranging upwards of approximately US $3 Billion, and mediated over 200 disputes with amounts in contention ranging upwards of approximately US $ 500 Million.
